On my lonely nights at sea, music has been my friend. Writing lyrics and taking photos has helped me through many a difficult time and I have stories to tell..
When I was a teenager, we didn't have broadband internet or google so the only way to find out what the lyrics were or connect to the artists was through the album booklet (or music magazines). I forgot about how important album artwork was to me!
This makes an excellent companion piece to my debut album themolluscdimension.bandcamp.com/album/welcome-to-the-mollusc-dimension-album or could be enjoyed as a zine on its own!
In the months after "Welcome to The Mollusc Dimension" was released, the first UK lockdown began in 2020. I didn't tour the album but I did write a whole load of new songs! As time has passed, I remembered that creating this album was very important for processing feelings and experiences around loss, family challenges, mental health struggles and also discovering wonder, magic and humour in imagination, nature and the everyday.
